Knowing that Vidya Balan got national award, I saw this dirty movie yesterday. Indian govt insulted everyone that received National Awards in the past by honoring Vidya in this film. Such a loose and skin show movie, what greatness it has shown, I didn't understand. About acting, many other actresses should have done far better than her in many other regional movies. I agree with others that if by showing skin if our govt starts honoring, then sunny leone is not far away from receiving a national award soon. Our govt is degrading in every sense.
Possibly, the (foreign)corporate world with our low grade politics are inducing loose morals in Indians by honoring such movies.

I don't think he ever heard her name, let alone know who she was. showing skin is not up to her her. It all depends on the movie the script and all the rest that go with it. If the role demands showing skin so be it.she can't swy no. she merely act to what she is told to do. I bet if you had to do this role you will not hesitate to show some skin. She has done a wonderful job, beautiful acting the role of Silk Samitha.
Dadasaheb Phalke award was truly another feather in the cap of veteran bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee. CONGRATS! Vidya Balan was great in Dirty Picture but her acting prowess was really out of the world in KAHAANI. Hope she gets an award for this too.
As a south indian, i have seen almost all the movies of silk smitha. she was in her limites in exposing. NOT AS MUCH AS VIDYA BALAN HAS EXPOSED IN ONE MOVIE.

When acting some one else's life style the producers and directors always heat up and exaggerate things, otherwise the product will not sell. The question is Not Silk Samitha, But how much cash flow in. Ilk may be vulgar at times but she was beautiful girl, both in looks and heart.
balan female was trying her best to display her wares in many films. even in ishqiya, she got hum ped by various personalities, all in name of f "art". such personalities get awards, such is india.
