Just because you have not heard of other films in the list, doesnt mean they are not good.
If you havent seen these movies, how can you says OSO is better than them ?
I know SP from my child hood , i used to watch her movies , katha is the best movie i have ever seen , along with chashmee bahdur and sparsh....one thing the author missed here is ..sai always made filem around Man ..her subject was always a Man , his life his personality and his problems ..being a woman sai has always liked the Man the way they do it. i want be able to put my words here for the sai, but auther certailnluy missed it , and of course Farah khan is spoiling the article.
Have to agree with Bhanurekha. While I appreciate the entertainment value and chutzpah of Farah Khan's movies - no excuses for not including Aparna Sen and Revathy. Both of them excellent in their craft. And if there is still room for one film wonders, why not include Firaaq (Nandita Das) or Filhaal (Meghna Gulzar). They had some subtle moments which Peepli didn't. I'd reserve Farah, Tanuja Chandra or Pooja Bhatt for the last few slots (though they did make some decent movies).
How does rediff put Farah Khan along with Sai Paranjpai and Mira Nair. Why not Aparna Sen? Even Tanuja Chandra did a couple decent films. In anycase, Bollywood is a sexist industry and I give Rediff kudos for atleast acknowledging the female directors.
Actress turned director Revati made two films: Mitr My Friend (English) starring Shobhana and Naseer Abdullah and Phir Milenge (Hindi) starring Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan. Both were very well made. Why did you leave out her contribution?
U missed the south indian director Revathy and her film Mitr my friend...which was extraodrdinary in depicting HIV AIDS....instead of OSO, this should be in the list...As usual, south guys are being kept aside giving more importance on the north!! nadakkatum!!
