politically correct statements
by rajesh sarma on Aug 08, 2011 10:33 PM  | Hide replies

I am suprised as how an erudite person as Bachchan Sr. is confusing caste for religion. I have been and am still a great fan of his but of late I feel that he just making certain statements which are politically correct. He is making those statements out of compulsion. For instance, he recently said that he doesn't believe in astrology and did not conduct any spl poojas for warding off certain negative aspects of Aishwarya's kundali because he thinks such actions represent a regressive mindset. It doesn't matter if he did. Why be ashamed of admitting it in public. Most hindus perform such poojas if they are comfortable with it. Why does he then wear a moon stone on his little finger if he does not believe in astrology?

see, the problem with this so called bollyoowd is that everyone wants cheap publicity. it is an open secret that his family believes deeply in astrology. some stupid film of his will have a theme of modernity. so, he is promoting the so called "modernism". Just watch till aish gets her baby, look at what all rituals this idiot will perform. unfortunately, he is losing all the respect he once commanded.

Every marketing effort has to tell lies.

Do not judge Big B by his statements on Aarakshan.

Bachchan has always played roles which fight against the evils of the society. Even in his negative roles, he conveyed this through his futile expressions. His upbringing has been very decent. Before trying to discgrace him, first understand what he means.Else stand before a mirror and look at yourself. You will come to know who is an idiot.

@rotidal- I am sorry but you have overstepped in referring Mr. Bachchan Sr. as 'idiot'on a public forum. I think you should immediately put across an apology. Bachchan Sr. is one of the finest human beings and the most professional actor Hindi Cinema has ever seen. I was merely referring to his 'politically correct' statements made by him which are unwarrented. At best, he could have said that he wouldn't like to air his opinions and views in public.

Rajeshji, I fully agree with you in all respects. He needs to be a bit more cautious in conveying his thoughts on such issues. But I strongly condemn any derogatory remark against this perfect human being. He is a national icon and respected by Indians of all generations

Making money by acting more miserable and low than the lowest
by D S on Aug 08, 2011 08:40 PM  | Hide replies

Arakshan like movie rajniti is Making money by acting more miserable and low than the lowest.

Making money by acting more miserable and lower than the lowest has been the mindset.

that is the Motive behind of all JHA movie is to Act or Show themselves as more miserable than the miserable to BEAT DOWN the miserable. Be more low than the lowly.

Very conflict oriented movie that wants to make money out of conflict. MADE BY VERY LOWLY CHARACTER jha who wants to rake money from controversy, manipulation, conflict. This movie presents no solution, but puts salt on the wound and puts forward a lie that salt is sugar.

Re: Making money by acting more miserable and low than the lowest

Again, there is another fool maker movie Arakshan. Arakshan applies same philosophy by certain class in bihar, if there is something miserable out there. then, make something much more miserable like Arakshan or Rajniti.

Such thinking is brainchild of those sections that were ejected from UP and forcerfully acquired tribal lands all around Bihar, Bangladesh, bihar, Orrisa, etc. thus there is movement among tribals to reclaim land that has been seized for mining ( and tribal made somewhat dream tech workers), industrialization, rural, etc. tribal want to re-learn their tribal life and have respect for it that made them survive for thousand of years.

if there is controversy, then exploit it instead of having any good solution for it, if there is a position then ragaad (rrape) yourself all t

if there is controversy, then exploit it instead of having any good solution for it, if there is a position then ragaad (rrape) yourself all the way for it. DONT WORK to change the system at all but build conflict. Act more miserable.
then, get weird actors ( Katrina, Saif, padukone, etc) from a whole different section of cinema to gain audience , etc.

Come on. Get a break. This society is always made up of individuals who are looking for opportunity out of controversies. If it not jha, then it would be someone else who will milk the controversy.

At least film-makers are slightly better than political class. Politicians exploit controversies to empower themselves and can go to the extent of promoting violence to achieve their means, filmakers are essentially businessmen intending to make money out of the controversy. They can make money only in a peaceful atmosphere and thus would not promote any violence at least.
