against britishers there r many movies ..like legend of bhagat singh .. !! or bhagat singh by bobby deol !!
and n number of freedom fight movies..!! but not all became as famous as this one !!
lagaan appealed to the audience becoz they have kept it simple . the village . the characters show the reality in india !.. not the pretentious ones !! and its a truly indian movie not motivated by any western movie !!

after 9 yrs..ppl stil enjoy watching this movie .. many times over..!! we dont even get bugged even for a second ..!!
a real mass entertainer . but i wil always miss it watching in theatre ! i have never watched it on a big screen !! sad

I agree with you bro...it is my most fav. movie but as many movies came on the same subject at same time, it was underrated...:-/
The complete team performed really nice and AR music made it really special one..:)
