If we pick all conservative numbers and multiply……..
2250 prints x 4 shows x 500 seats x Rs. 150 = 67,50,00,000 = Rs. 67.5 crore per day.
Rs. 67.5 crore x 3 days = Rs. 202.5 Crore.
The total expenditure of the is 174 cores, Rajinikanth’s salary also depends on the profit, as his final salary amount is decided by the profit of the movie (His salary is expected to be around Rs. 45 crore).

Gross of dabaang is 65crores. tamil movies have no entertainment tax in south india. So please refer to gross figures.

Overseas 160crores? lol this has to be a joke! According to overseas boxoffice the movie has made 16crores from overseas and NOT 160crores. Please tell the truth and stop making up lies. Adding an extra "0" to 16crores will not work as truth will always come out.

After entertainment tax, it is considered with remaining profit as nett, not gross.. get your facts right..

Better way to calculate the profit is before entertainment tax..

Well, is not Rs160 crore but, Rs100 crore within 5 days!!! In short, average of Rs30 crore a day..

Huge response in Malaysia, with 1st day show at RM60 in Kuala Lumpur and Penang whereas RM70 in Johor Bharu..

I am just posting facts - Endhiran (Tamil) is a blockbuster; Robot (Hindi) for the non-Tamil audience is a disaster. Is this difference too difficult to understand?

Yes it has for the Tamil audience, I fully agree. But for the rest, it doesn't matter because hardly anyone is watching it or excited enough to watch it.

Guys,.. The collection isn't from tamil audiences only but also japanese, malays, chinese and NRIs as well as Westerners..

Seems like northern belt people only to enjoy watching movies on hindi origin regardless of story contents.. Clear evidence of movies such as Kambath Ishq, Om shanti Om, Houseful, and No Entry are general taste of these people.. As resultant, hardly hindi movies as presenting as in 60s and 70s for global audiences..

Last hindi movie enjoyed were lagaan, KKKG, and Ghajini..
Didn't watch Dabangg here as no screening in malaysia.. Perhaps, later in DVD..

Director shankar has copied the concept from Superstar Upendra's Kannada film "HOLLYWOOD" there is nothing new about Enthiran, he has only added masala called VFX to it. Very simple!

Go and watch upendra's take on enthiran.he said shankar dropped the same film in 2001 with kamalhassan as lead due to budget constraints.that time upendra didnt start the movie 'hollywood'.shankar just postponed the movie robo to ten years.see wikipedia for evidence.

anyway the effort needs to be appreciated.it is good for indian film industry.
rajni is a superstar...maybe india's only superstar ..no doubts...
if robot delivers every indian will be proud ...though for entertainment ni/si fun should go on...
