Kambaqt Ishq grossed many times more than PAA but the latter is a hit whereas former is not. the cost of the film, the money at which it is sold to the distributor all come into play. What does that mean? - It means that people rushed it due to the fact that it was overhyped due to the reviews and news. On the other hand, some movies catch the public, though there were some wrong reviews, like for 3 idiots, still the movie became a huge grosser and went on doing business continuously because in fact it was a good movie and the news spread by word of mouth.
