I may more than him. But my comment is not related to his review on Raavan. Its my opinion on Raavan, and Mani Rathnam movies in general.

shashwat LSD was not for everyone. Definitely not for you my friend. It was not a great film, but it was a very good try. I am sure u would have loved MNIK. Didnt you?
Most of the times I have seen that reviews by Raja Sen are contradictory to the general views of the cinemagoers , at times the reviews are very crictial about a film and the subject film turns out to be a hit .
So reviews by Mr. Sen cannot be relied upon .
RAAVAN IS MASTERPIECE - CAN BE WATCHED WITH THE FAMILY .

once should see the movie atleast once...its worth that effort.. to hell with raja sen..
Alot is said about cinematography. Its great but it had no relevance with the film or characters. RGV's Jungle may not have such breath taking locations or visuals but it had the relevance. Music made no senses. Characterisation never existed. Subhash Ghai's Khalnayak (which again was not so good) had better relevance with Ramayana. Performances were like school students. Alot was said about greatness of Maniratnam. But in all his films, development of story was always weak and climax was always not convincing. His most concentration was on technical aspect mostly even in the past. I can't rank even Nayakan, Roja, Bombay, Yuva, Guru, Dil Se, among better films and Raavan is an absolute mockery of film making. Maniratnam should be prosecuted for deteriorating Ramayana. He should stop overrate himself.

Well said, Manish. Mani Rathnam is just a good technician. He is good at using the latest techniques.
