He seems to be highly repentant. So he should marry the maid and ask request her to withdraw the case. So many film stars have 2 wives or more e.g. Dharmender etc. With this everyone will be happy and no need for court to add one more case and give dates for next 10 years.

Does the maid want to marry him? I think it is preposterous to assume that raping a person .. and then offering to marry them makes things alright.

He is rich. Anyone can buy law in INDIA. Since he is a rich man law is not applicable for him. The court will give dates for 100 years. The best solution is shiney should marry her else he should be sentenced to 10 years of jail. Otherwise there will be no faith on judiciary system.

just because he didn't in the last 15 years, doesn't mean he cant now ... maybe he always had older maids ... maybe he just started taking v1agra ... who knows?

Well think from this perspective. If tomorrow, my partner was charged with something, I know for sure, whether he/she can do this or not. If they are capable or not. Means you know the person's nature, habits, limits when you live 15 years, everyday with them.

Then in every crime the wife's statement must be the crucial like dying men's statement.If this happens to u then I will ask the court to consider the accused wife's statement as important for deciding the case.
Any virgin will have forced entry and tear of hymen and some blood even during first or second consensual sex. So does the medical test prove rape? Only police said it is proved.

Indian law should be an example to other citizens, who follow shiney's cruel behavior. If he is guilty of the crime he committed, put him in prison for long long time and register him as sex offender.

I completly agree with dhyanjagat. May be this is too technical for geeks like techno, but just try/experience the power in our own system of yoga and meditation before passing judgements. We are running behind westerners and see what they are doing, they are running behind our systems. Yoga and meditation has a huge following in western world. Look at Bikram yoga centre in Mumbai which is run at 40 deg C. Think abt columbus, he never set for china or japan or elsewhere. He set for India, like numerous others at that time, since we were thriving in culture, education, wealth etc etc...westerners like in US, they just dont have culture and they are relatively new with just 350/400 odd yrs of history. PPl come back to india and to its ways of doing things...just read/study...take help from those who practice/experienced these virtues...and then arrive at conclusion for urself...i have lived in this country as well as in other countries..

I think she will held conference in support of all such accused. Our Media will cover this conference if it happens in their case. All these people must be thrashed in public.
