The actor will come out free paying money to the ictim's family and police who will surely weaken the case. "Until proven guilty" is being used widely these days with a meaning that we have time to turn around the case.

PS:- it is not true..the law on rape and dowry crimes is "guilty until proven innocent"...the accused has to prove that the did not occur

Buddy, when it comes to Indian law, there is a big big unsurmountable gap between what should happen and what does happen.
If that ninny, salman khan, could run over a few people and get away with it, do you really think this guy will cool his heels in the slammer for a rape?? The only punishment he's going to get is, he'll be asked by a fawning lower judiciary magistrate for an autograph for his daughter before acquitting him citing lack of evidence!
Shiney Ahuja had se-x with this maid servant and maybe offered her money but this maid servant turned out to be a con-woman demanding that he should marry her........
