"As mentioned, the problem is a conceptual one: The hilarious American show Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader is based on the average American stupidity curve, which is why they mess up answers like 'Two times Five equals?' The Indian version, while replacing stand-up comic Jeff Foxworthy with the biggest superstar in the biz, has gotten the formula completely wrong. " Gee, I wonder how many cliches I could write about Indians? The point of "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader", which seems to have eluded you, is how much of what you learned at age 10 can you now remember.

Raja, first time I saw your realistic review. Its good to see you caming out of SRK mindframe and realised that there is no point in promoting less talented and more hyped people like SRK.
If you listen to your brain irrespective of your personal likings then you can be good reviewer.
There is no point supporting actors who are indirect funding source to SIMI. All money goes to MousqEE as a heavy donation from these actors are diverted largely by MosquEE to SIMI to promote violence in India. You must be knowing this being in media, if not then GOD bless you.
Out of total 30% Hindu Bengalis population in Bangladesh, 25% are not converted to Muuuslimms till now after freedom and only 5% left. Same story in PAKK as well where only 2-3% hindus left out of 23% of original population.
How many more will go their way following blindly these muuslimm actors for no reason? These guys are reasons hindu girls marrying muuslimm guys but reverse is not seen even at 1%.
Praise someone for skills but don't make them rule you because of your non sense.
Its a good review. U r right when u say AB's KBC can't be compare to SRK's KBC or for that matter Panchvi Paas. But SRK rules...he has the talent to make even dud thing an interesting work unlike Salman and Akshay. Salman is having fake accent and he host the show so boringly. Akshay is an interesting personality on big screen but in Fear Factor, he is even boring than Doordarashan show hosts. SRK is over exposed no doubt but i gues he know that. Thats why u can't find him anywhere other than Panchvi Pass where he has no control atleast till the last episode.

Although I like Sallu very much, I think you are right that Javed would be a better host. Well, he's got more experience in hosting shows and can crack jokes, but is also sensitive and be more serious. I think Salman is good as a host, because he is good at interacting with his contenstants, but sometimes the pace slows down because of his lack of experience in doing live TV. But I like his way of hosting a show and he manages well. It's really heartening to watch him conversing with ordinary people in such a warm manner. The answers to the questions often surprise me so this show sort of give me some insight into the Indian mentality. Well, the questions are, however, often too silly for my taste, but I watch it for Sallu and for the format.
