Me Patel
A free country
by Me Patel on Apr 04, 2008 01:30 PM  | Hide replies

As expected, people will start saying something against Raja Sen. But india is a free country and like you he too can give his views. It is very boring to read comments unrelated to movie or review and related to a person.

well me patel....if mr sen really 'reviews' a movie...they would read it and get on with life...but if he talks about things other than the movie..then readers I guess get distracted and the target becomes mr sen...and quite deservedly so...

It is not 'Tom Cruise and Keifer Sutherland' who are fighting the case in 'Few Good Men' Rather it is Tom cruse and Kevin Beacon who are the rival lawyers.

he said sutherland and cruise 'excel in their multifaceted, deceptively demanding roles'. he didnt say they were rival lawyers.

You are right,I just checked my DVD collection wonder why I miss him, during the movie. May be due to small role, he got in the movie. He is quite used to get the major roles. Thanx

I donno why so many people here keep saying that Raja Sen favours SRK. I absolutely don't think so. And here's proof. He reviews what he thinks is right according to him. (Not that i agree with most of his reviews- esp with commercial movies like Race, bhool bhulaiya etc. i think his reviews are terribly wrong..even though his arty movies reviews are quite accurate and the other movies which are both meaningful and commercial like TZP, rang de basanti , etc.)

OK so for the record Raja Sen actually gave Chak De India only 3.5 stars , which was actually a fantastic movie and many reviewers (TOI, CNN - IBN) gave 4 stars.
And well , OSO was a different kind of movie which many liked and many didn't. It was meant to be fun and in that spirit most reviewers including Raja (not just Raja) gave it 3, 3.5 or 4 stars (btw Raja gave 3.5 and not 4 which many of you keep saying each time). So, it was not like only Raja rated it well. Infact he quite clearly mentioned that the 2nd half was "pretty much salvaged by the songs and award function"...and most people found the 2nd half a little down but liked the first.

Ok , and here's the biggest proof of why Raja is not an srk supporter/sucker (or rather he won't rate his movies just because he likes him or something)...If u remember most people all over the media rated KANK as 3 to 4 stars.....

Raja was probably the only one who honestly rated it JUST 2 stars, not fearing any backlash or anything. And it was a BIG SRK movie everyone
