I agree with ur comment but it's more effective to sent him in a jail rather than fine of 100 crores b;cas this could be a good lesson for others.
Sanjay is a normal person before law of the land. There is absolutely no justification for keeping AK 47 / 56 for self defence especially when he had lots of options being a son of congress MP. He could hvae very well taken licensed revolver. Congress MP who can get 24 hours police protection if needed. If his family is not safe, what about a common man? Shame to such rulers. It is a risk and mistake of film producers who put their funds on him and could not realese the films. May be his Gandhigiri may bring him a luck. Let us not over rate him. If he is not punished he should be fined heavily which he can afford. Judge should set a good example befor the society.

What threat for Sanjubaba. He took arms from Abu Salam & Co. So there was no threat from Muslim Fundamentalist. Side by side, Hindu fundamentalist hero of Maharastra always stood besides him. Then threat of Sanju baba - from what side ? from where ? He behaved like a child at the age of 34, though he is not a terrorist. But, law does not listen any flimsy excuse. God knows.

I think he should be let free as for possessing illegal arms he has already fulfilled the judiciary of being in Jail for 16 months. As of yet he has commited NO Crime of but just keeping the arms for personnel safety. If the judiciary & police have the GUTS Which to my knowledge is a BIG ZERO then Better go out and catch the real culprits like Dawood, Chotta Rajan etc. than haggling for a small fry. Maybe NO HAFTA.

i Think Court have to send "Sanjay Dutt" inside PRISON Because Now he's looking innocent. But can he bring THE people & their families who has been already punished without any fault. Now he's praying for relife. Now Everybody looking for he's corrier But i think everybody forgot that whatever he did is not for he's religon or family. He did only for money. AND IF HE LEAVE FROM THIS CASE WITHOUT ANY PUNISHMENT THEN AGAIN HE'LL DO FOR MONEY. "ITS TRUTH"

You moron, do you know what a AK 47 rifle is??? Have you seen one ever in your life. Does anybody keep an assault rifle for personal safety and that too a son of an MP. Just try keeping one in your house and see how the Indian law treats you. Want to set a criminal free. Morons like you should be whipped in public.
I think he should be given a warning or at the most fined. It's not that he had used the weapon. It was just bought for personal protection. He should be fined for possessing it not in accordance with the law.
He has already spent quite alot of time in Jail and has realised his mistake. That is the sole purpose of punishing someone..
