Teach The Culprits a Lesson, So That Others Would Deter
by Sunil Kumar on Dec 26, 2007 02:43 PM

I would say the culprits should be taught a good lesson, and the punishment should be harsh enough that it would deter others from doing the same.

Why so late to report...??
by Biswajit Ghoshal on Dec 26, 2007 02:41 PM

apparantly the rapes took place in March and August... why did the girl and her parents delayed so long to report?? Unless, of course, she was kept in confinement all along. It seem the girl got frustrated for not getting the role/s even after giving the sexual favours, and decided to complaint against them. In that case - case should be made for breaking the verbal deal, not for rape.

We should not jump to the conclusion before knowing the facts. Now-a-days many aspiring actresses and models implicate famous producers and directors in these cases because sexual abuse is the best charge where in the person is arrested first and then inquiry begins. It is possible that the girl might have thought the same. Therefore she took so long to complaint. Same case happened with Madhur Bhadarkar you know.

There can't be smoke without fire. In India specifically in Maharashtra, accusing & poilce registring a case is not so easy. Just try to register a case for your loss of purse/license etc.

The case is obvious. Poor girl was lured to the rapist's flat and had to escape. Too much Islamic influence in India.
