thanks Amir for such a great movie, great story, great performances, great direction, everything was mindblowing. you have taken the best from darsheel, the little master. aapki film ne to accho achho ka rona nikal diya. i ve never read before such a positiv critic for any film on the rediff forum . thanks again to give us time after time super films which give us real views of life.
guys just have a look at this.... TZP has got into the top 250 movies of all time (in the world) list... u can check it at imdb website... (imdb is the world's largest internet movie website).. just search there by the key word "taare zameen par"... it has been given a rank of 143... this is really superb...

That is BULLSHEET. I just saw it has 9.5/10 which makes it first movie in IMDB. Then why is it ranked 143? Just saw Black has 8.1/10 and still did not find in the IMDB top 250 list. IMDB list simply does not work. Are you saying TZP is all time great movie of India? Even better than Sholay? Sorry,,,,there are lots of movies better than TZP and TZP kinds of movie was done before....Nothing new. Do not get emotionally carried away. TZP is a good movie but I have not seen anything new.

The formula for calculating the Top Rated 250 Titles gives a true Bayesian estimate:
weighted rating (WR) = (v ÷ (v m)) × R (m ÷ (v m)) × C
where: R = average for the movie (mean) = (Rating) v = number of votes for the movie = (votes) m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 250 (currently 1300) C = the mean vote across the whole report (currently 6.7)
for the Top 250, only votes from regular voters are considered. This is necessary to get a comparative rating. So just know your facts before accusing a reputed site like IMDB. As far as TZP is concerned is a nice sensible movie and has its own class. Also every kind of movie has always been done before, what matters is how it is handled on a given instance. I cant think of any other bolly movie in modern era which is better than TZP if not equally good.

I agree with you to some extent. TZP was a great movie, but not necessarily all time best. The reason why it%u2019s rating is high is because people are more computer savvy now and are coming out for rating movies. These ratings have no meaning unless they represent masses and classes alike.
This movie is surely going to touch everyone's heart and why not, such movies are not made now and then...these are some movies that become classics with time.
In Darsheel, i see a every inocent child that needs alot from us and Aamir hats off to you for making such a brillant movie and hope to see such movies from you in times to come.
Aamir khan has proved that he is the most classic, natural and innovative actor in bollywood along with sanjay dutt. these 2 guyz always do a non conventional stuff. TAARE ZAMEEN PAR is a huge slap by aamir khan on the faces of commercial and artificial actors like shahrukh khan, salman khan and many others. idiot shahrukh khan likes to praise himself as king khan,but the fact is he's the most idiot , artificial, commercial, ugly and fake actor.Taare zameen par is a natural and real film which shows the reality of our society and hats off to aamir for making such a wonderful and beautiful film. films like taare zameen par are very important eye openers for the society. thank u aamir khan. if i were the critic, i would give this film 100 out of 5. Aamir u r the real king khan.
I completely agree with Dennis Carlson. I believe the person who has reviewed the movie for rediff is biased. I dont understand how stupid movies like "Bhool Bhulaiya" and "Jhoom Barabar" get four stars and a brilliant flick like "TZP" got only 3 stars?! I'd love 2 shoot the insensitive person responsible for this review.
Hi, I just saw the movie and I was hooked. Some of the things said in this review I do not agree with - a. It is said that the parents are shown ignorant but to be honest, I did not know about Dyslexia until about 9 years back when a colleague of mine told me that her sons have Dyslexia. b. The scene of showing big names of Albert Einstein was done well to bring the child out of the shell, I think it was well placed. c. The climax could be called a cliche but I think it was a trigger to give the confidence to a child and was done well. Also, it shows that it is competitive world outside and one can be good at something - in this case it was Art. As the tagline says, every child is special and there is some gift in a child that parents need to care to find. Sometimes, I wish that critics would review the film in a broader context and how when something is said with intention need not be discounted by personal prejudices.
Yes! One advice! If you have not yet listened to the music... DON'T! Go and watch the movie first and then listen to the songs for the first time in the movie. I promise it would be a great experience
