I don't know why in India silly news always gets high importance. There are many other important issues which go unnoticed.Who is cared whether ash cried or not.It is we people who made them a star.

ASH ABHI WEDDING

"MARRIAGE IS A GHASTLY PUBLIC FUNCTION WITH A STRICLY PRIVATE INTENTION" GOES THE SAYING.
THE WAY MEDIA PLAYS ABOUT THIS "STAR" WEDDING
IS AS THOUGH CELESTIAL BEINGS ARE UNITED IN
MATRIMONY - SICKENING, SAD SHAMEFUL COVERAGE
RESORTED TO WITH TOO MUCH UNCALLED FOR HYPE.
MEHNDI SELLER TO PRIVATE JET TRAVEL TO TIRUPATI
- ALL GIVEN UNDUE IMPORTANCE. SORELY DISAPPOINTED AMITABH ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN.
WHILE WISHING THEM BEST OF LUCK, I WOULD REQUEST THE PAIR TO KEEP OFF THE PUBLICITY INDULGED IN AND CARRY ON THEIR LIVES IN PRIVATE. LET MEDIA SPEND TIME IN MORE USEFUL PUBLIC AFFAIRS TOPICS AND HELP IMPROVE AWAKENING TO REAL ISSUES OF THE NATION TO BENEFIT ONE AND ALL. PRAY GOD HELPS
PEAYEN S MANI

Mumbai: Indian teachers sprinkled cow urine on low-caste students to purify them and drive away evil, reports said yesterday, in a country where millions of people remain oppressed at the bottom of the ancient Hindu caste system.

Upper-caste headteacher Sharad Kaithade ordered the ritual after taking over from a lower-caste predecessor at a school in a remote village in the western state of Maharashtra earlier this month, the Times of India reported.

He told an upper-caste colleague to spray cow urine in a cleansing ceremony as the students were taking an examination, wetting their faces and their answer sheets, the newspaper said.

"She said you'll study well after getting purified," student Rajat Washnik was quoted as saying by the CNN-IBN news channel. Students said they felt humiliated.

Hinduism reveres the cow, and its dung is used in the countryside as both a disinfectant and as fuel.

Coonoor, Tamil Nadu: India and China held talks on resolving their decades-old border row amid the sylvan surroundings of the Nilgiri hills in Coonoor yesterday evening.

Indian and Chinese delegations were ensconced at the Taj Retreat, surrounded by tall Chinars and Deodars which screened the Chinese visitors from the protests of Tibetan refugees living in the district for the last 50 years.

Chinese Special Representative, Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo - Beijing's chief pointsman for the border talks - and National Security Adviser M.K. Narayanan, India's Special Representative, held brief discussions in New Delhi on Friday - the first day of the 10th round of talks between the countries.

VINAY NIGAM
Bachhan's Marriage coverage by media
by VINAY NIGAM on Apr 22, 2007 11:31 AM  | Hide replies

Many a times earlier it seemed that media has forgotten their role for national and social purpose. Since on many other occasions it is found that media has given unnecessary importance to not so important events. And while doing so, it might be successful in creating hype among the general public. May be to increase the nos of viewers for their own interest. This time it is again confirmed on the occasion of Abhishek-Ash marriage, as it has been in focus and coverage for last few days. It seems all other issues, developments are ignored. Is it the reflection of our society? Where the media is going and where it would lead future generation?

On the other hand media is forcibly trying to intervene one%u2019s personal affair and making their life miserable too. Either media should play more responsible role or there should be some body to rein it who could teach them their sensible role.

certainly I agree with u saurabh....they never invited u guys 2 go nd hav a fotos nd media coverage f their marriage...my question is will they ask U guys why U didnt turn up for their son marriage..certainly amitabh wont ask u such a question so it means that he do needs the privacy only with his relatives nd friends....so let them hav either a lavish/simple marriage why it does bother u..it is bcoz of ur curiosity u r trying evry option 2 hav a glimpse of the function..u r not at all entitled 2 peep into another man privacy...another question is will u guys come nd cover all the marriages nd function, its no...bcoz u earn nothn out of it...so u r the one who goes aorund them 4 ur profit and they never invite u guys...if they wish let them release their marriage fotos orelse let them keep that..why u r n desperate need of those fotos..so never blame on them (i dont want 2 argue whether they r good or bad)...in this issue the problem certaily lies with u media people....
