No comparison whatsoever. Udit Narayan though talented and versatile in his own way , stands nowhere close to the legend Kishore Kumar and you can't beat the original music just by adding a few beats here and there. Its a total mismatch.

they will mess up the old movies also. forget don.... think anout Big B in the new sholay as Gabbar singh !!! i dont even want to see posters of the new sholay
Old is Gold so there is no comparing to the OLD DON. Old Don is liked by old, Middle & Kids, were as the New Don will be liked by only Young kids. NORTH & SOUTH.
you just can not things from 2 different genre....AB's Don was made way back in 1978 I believe and since then time has changed remarkably the technique that used currently is way ahead then those in 26 years back.... AB's Don hs its own charm and still has it's flavour in the heart and mind of the people who hv seen it that time and even who sees it currently....SK Don definitely wud hv used lot of techinicalities and all that cud hv done to make the movie top class....as far as music is concern "aaj ki raat" sound more stunning " yeh mera dil" Sunidhi sung realy as well as Asha Bhosle..."khaike paan" nobody can copy that...that is a msterpiece both Kishore and AB uncomparable....SK is my favourite as AB and my all good wishes to SK for Don - thanks.
But i think srk is bad chioce for Like Don Charchter. He was not a specfic voice like Amitabh Bachchan.Sahrukh's over Make-up & Over Ackting can distrub people's mind.He has not real peronalty for DON like charchter. I heard two songs of the film. The"Pan Banars Wala" is ok But the another song on kareena "yeh mera Dil Pyara Ka Diwana" is very odd looking on Kareena. I think Farhan Akhtar has Many option for a great Dance song. "Farhan" Kareena Look Like a Call Girl.Farhan make a Bulgar and Nude Song.In First Don Helen not looks Nude and odd .Helen has a prefect body of great dancer. Helen never looks nude or odd in short cloths.
The Film will only success on the image of Today SRk image in fans.
Dont compare the recent DON(sharukh) with the great DON (AMITABH- Big B). Sharukh has great ability to perform emotional scenes but for the threatening scenes Big B is the great DON. His voice quality seems to give him the geat impression.
The remixed version of \'khaike paan\'is so bad one actually wonders if this is the way tributes are paid to the legends of yesteryears. A very brave attempt by Udit Narayan, however, the beats, the pace and generally the feel of the song are not a patch on the original.
