No its doest disappoint! The 70s DON was slow paced while this was filled with thrills. Plus it has a twist in the end! very unlike the ending in the old DON.
I was all shocked to see how could Farhan Akhtar come up with this kind of script after producing fantastic movies like DCH and Lakshya this was all wasted effort.. the movie neither has strong story neither has much of star screen prescence, its more of mixture of old movie DON and couple of Hollywood movies. The movie totally lacks any new originality about the actors Isha Kopikar is just there for screen prescence, Priyanka Chopra has her own clumsy style of talking still left Arjun Rampal is some what good, Boman Irani good with his acting but does not have a screen prescene because of poor direction, SRK did what he had to do, his acting neither is impressive nor dynamic to get the movie going.
Overall movie is not worth watching, untill you are die hard SRK fan. so 1 nd 1/2 star is best judged for the movie
Rediff has given 1.5 ...does it deserves 1.5 for what ....it shld have deserved a max 1 ....no original script and even songs were copied.Kindly make it 0.5 - 1.0. and for those guys and gals who r big SRK fans leave SRK from the mind for 3 hrs and watch the movie only if ur a movie buff...u will realise what a bad movie..upps.....
First things first... This woman should find a new job for herself.
How can she call Don to be disappointing? Even I had negative vibes for the movie. But then when I watched it, I have to salute Mr. Khan who has done a commendable job. The best thing about the film is that the director has just changed the story, especially the climax. Hats off to him too.
Shahrukh Khan has got the capability to overshadow all. And the best thing about this film is that he has never tried to act or be like Mr. Bachchan. He has understood his limits and used the same. So one will never feel that he is watching Bachchan in the new Don. Even in 'Khaika Paan' song, he has never tried to imitate Bachchan.
Cmon guys, you have just loved Shahrukh in all his films. He has been entertaining us since a long time with super hits like Darr, Baazigar, DDLJ, DTPH, KKHH... the list is endless. He is not a Hrithik Roshan who only shines in the movies made by his dad. And he is not Abhishek either who has got the tag of being Amitabh's son.. He is a self man man who is natural when it comes to acting.
Don is utter and absolute CRAP. SRK sucks as usual, Farhan Akhtar has gone mad and the music is terrible, and the choreography....has to be seen to be believed. terrible.
With all respect to the Original DON Movie. I think the new Movie has a good feel, very advanced, great performances and the slight bit of twist... I think if you do not take it as a remake and see the movie as a perfect popcorn masala movie.. it is a great entertainer... but yeah people have their own views... My group and me really enjoyed the movie..
