Sorry friends, I don't think Shahrukh can match Bachchan in Don.Amitabh Bachchan has a great personna & greater screen presence than Shahrukh.Shahrukh is a good actor & a big showman, but he doesn't have that grace & personna of Bachchan apart from the acting skills.
Shahrukh is fantastic in Romantic roles,although he has done different roles ,he is a class act in romance.He might give us another DDLJ,but he can't give a DON or a DEEWAR.These roles are meant for Bachchan only.But , it can so happen that the director can present this film with a much better technique.But again,Bachchan is unmatchable.
Again it is the Comparision among the unequals. No actor ever can match the essence of the Legendary Don.
People may argue.......But it is a fact that Big B in the erstwhile Don was THE BEST, and THE BEST cannot be matched by anyone.
So according to me, the Don-2006 does not even deserve to be compared to the Don-1978. Remember that the man in Don-1978 was the "SHOWMAN OF THE MILLENIUM". It would take another millenium for someone to deserve to be compared to BIG B......
No way Shahrukh can match r even fit in the role of Don portrayed by Mr.Amitabh Bachchan. Shahrukh doesn't look like a don, he is just ample perfect for lover boy movies.
Amitabh is Genius a Legend, srk is a mediocre actor..needs too much of support from Big banners, Big directors..good songs and yes overseas support lol...convert dollars to rupees !! u knw Telugu movies also do much better in USA etc..so does that mean all are good actors? a Actor should show versatile performace unlike sucking Srk who can play same roles every time lol..if he hero cries is he a good actor? if a story is good is he good actor? lol...Amitabh has played so many roles with elegance...he is the only DON !!!
