people think its improper, what improper he is a good singer and he had a much much matured voice than vinit who sound like a child and who was very much hyped. its theright choice he is the voice of India.
I don't think Debojeet deserves even in top 5 finalists. It was the voting from NE states that took him so far. There were far far better candidates vinit, himani, hemachandra. Debo always used to get yellow card. People in india know very well how to abuse a system. In voting campaign program (sa re ga ma pa showed) a guy from NE said, he voted 5000 times to debo, now what does that mean. He fu..ed the zee tv system & same with other NE people. Debo is good singer but he does not deserve this reward. If look at the voting results Debo always got more than 75% votes from NE states, it looks like a Assam's voice not a india voice. In his contract with HMV i believe he will sing only bangali songs :), we will see how it goes. Vinit is real winner there is hadlly 2 lakhs votes difference. Look strange, people from south did vote only 31 lacs where other region voted more than 1 crore. that was another deciding factor. Zee tv did the voting system for first time for sa re ga ma program only to get popular and regain its lost glory in rival to star plus channels.
i find it very interesting the debo got almost 2 cror votes from his home country, when the rest of of indias votes for him added up less then 2 crors, i thought the winner was supposed to be indias voice, not assam's voice. so ultimately this contest was extremely biased, because u could vote more then once for a contestant, what if u were very wealthy and voted many times for debo.... i find that very unfair. also vinit should of won because he had votes from all around india and not all from lucknow.
I have been watching SaReGaMaPa for the past 6 months, here from USA. It is ironical that a guy who had committed more mistakes than any other finalists has won this competition. I would definitely agree with Arun that Hema Chander next to Himani should have been the deserving choice for they had the real stuff - New Voice, Different from others, Versatile and very consistent. I do like to include Vineet with them but the only thing I found missing in him is his voice. He was sounding very much imitating Sonu Nigam. Otherwise, he too is no less than these two.
But when it comes to Debojit, he is only capable 4 Slow numbers. Not a versatile singer. And, among the final 10 performances, he has been the most consistent inconsistent singer. He is good but not as good as the other finalists.
It is such an irony that he has been chosen as the winner.
Like wise said, Sunidhi, Shreya and Kunal have really lived up to the winning performances in these kind of competitions but I doubt Debojit to be the same.
I still believe the term "Satyameva Jayate" and the future will prove these singers capabilities unlike this biased competition.
I hate deboojit bcause he has won final by parselaty. the real winner is vineet. If you are a true person then you may guess that who is the real winner. I am confident that in future vineet you and Nihira you both will go to the top. then no one will be oppose you by cheating. best of luck to you Nihira n Vineet
Congrats to Debojit for winning. But I believe that Nihira from Mumbai is the best. Next comes Hemachandra and then Debojit. Yes, Vinit has quite a fabulous potential but I guess he could have got more vote from NE or Calcutta if his guru (Himeshji) behaved a bit professionally. Off course regional voting will be there, no one can do anything about it unless the mode of the program changes. But who prevented UP/Lucknow to vote Vinit? and, yes, it is not only the north east, it is east as well voted for Debo.
Most imporantly, i think Sourav Ganguly's exclusion from the cricket team had a big role here. I think whole west bengal voted imotionally against vinit as a proiest.
Dear Mr Gajendra Singh, I'm writing this open mail to u only bcoz i want u to realise your own true worth. Sa re ga ma started as a talent hunt program judged by the gurus of indian classical music as well as popular music artistes. The program has produced artistes like Shreya Ghosal and Kunal Ganjawala. Then came a channel which produced artistes who became an 'idol' and jodi no. 1 by virtue of the popularity, X factor and ability to get their own people to vote in large numbers. Sir, when u were aware of the pitfalls of votes being the only deciding factor for choosing thenext talent, u should've given scope for the esteemed judges and the magical mentors who truly understand music and judge the BEST. Not to take away any credit from Debujit,he was good.. but certainly not the best. Vinit is far better.. and there are no words to describe the greatness of Hemchandra's voice and the melodious voice of Himani. Hope u take a cue from here, and take necessary measures to prevent such drastic mishaps in the future. We love your program and wil always do..just maintain the sanctity of it.
Debojit has made it. After the controversy with Sourav Ganguly, we bengali people feel that some sort anti-bengali feeling is still privailing, but thanks not in commonman's mind. Everybody voted for him. Me too. Wish you a very smooth and prosperous singing career.
i feel that the 50%of he show ended when himani went out and rest 50% when hemchandra went out. for me it would have been lot better if the organizers would have sensed and acted on time , and changed the format in last few rounds;as we all saw the flaws in procedure based on voting pattern. afterall only east states can not be termed as whole india and should not had been allowed to dictate the voting pattern .
