I think ending of RDB is perfect but we should not compare Bhagat Singh and friends sacrifice, beca when they got arrested in parliament, they were aware that they may get death sentence. In case of RDB, DJ and his firends were sure that they will get arrested only, they nvr thought that army will come for kill only, u can see the impressions of individual when army started to fire. they all were scared. Ending of rdb hv gr8 impact, I think diff ending should hv spoiled the emotions.

Why on earth should Devdas die drinking when he had all the mazey with both ASH & MADHURI. Instead a sequal should be made named DEVDASI and both ASH and Madhuri should become alcoholic and die in Chandni bar. Chunni Babu and Devdas should enjoy DOLA RE of both in that Chandni bar.
Yep, Dhoom cld end in a better way. Maybe John Abraham cld be caught & be put behind bars & then he cld escape in Dhoom-2 & then he & Hrithik Roshan cld both plan & execute huge robberies. At the end of Dhoom-2, both cld die.
And, RDB had the perfect ending. If all of them didn't die it wld'nt have created such an impact. Keeping them alive wld make RDB completely filmy & commercial with the regular formula of "victory of the hero".
Another film whose end I didn't like was Page 3. I think it cld have been a bit positive with Konkana Sen Sharma getting justice in the child abuse story.
The fact that all of them died makes the sacrifice suupreme and stresses on the level of frustration today's youth have because of the corruption in the society. Its a reminder that if things continue the way they are a time is not far when the youth would take such extreme steps
The movies with the best endings are : Mughal-e-azam..Mother India..Kaagaz ke Phooltruly haunting, Shri 420..Awara.. Black..Pakeezah..Truly optimistic,Ganga Jamuna..Anand..Guide..Sangam..Truly Tragic, KAbhi Kabhi...truly romantic.
As for the worst ones Silsila(Yash Chopra took the viewers to the top of the cliff and just pushed them with the plane crash scene), Salaam Namaste( The most stable man will turn confused with the horrifying slip slack ending), Parineeta( 2005... The otherwise beautiful movie was brought at the verge of crushing down along with the overblown melodramatic wall crushing scene).
I donno which is the worst ending. But one of the best ending is none otherthan " aniyathi pravu" in mal. No one can expect the climax. So natural.....! And in tamil its "kadhal". What a heart breaking scene. Really i could not sleep for 1 day after watching the movie (only for day, night i slept).
