Movie recommended to watch
by Anurag Gupta on Sep 24, 2005 12:47 PM

Movie I will recommend to watch is Al Pacino starrer 'Scarface'.

Movie is all about rise of a small time guy to Don of the underworld, his rise to this status, how he rules the underworld, in the process starts treading on path of self destruction & loses his beloved (Michelle Pfiffer), kills his close buddy due to his sister's affair with him.

Movie should be watched for sheer intense acting power of Al Pacino. Our own 'Agneepath' was losely based on this movie.

Thanks,

Best as per me ..

On a weekend , I go for the movies that I consider as the best of the weekdays ...I'll go for a movie on a weekend that I have already watched at least two hundered times ... And if still only a thought of that movie can make my eyes glow in anticipation of a wonderful day ahead that movie has to be special ...

Some such movies are

1 The Shawshank Redemption .. - Best scene - Song of the Italian women on the speakers

2. Dr Strangelove - The whole film is a riot.Arguably Kubrick's best.

3. South Park - Bigger Longer and Uncut.
South Park in many ways is an extension to what the pythons did to the comedy industry. If Monty Python were nuts enuff to think of something like Knights who say "Ni" ... The idea of Underpants stealing gnomes is in no way work of a lesser crack-a-jack ...

4. Monty Python and the holy grail ....
Nuff has been said already - But one of the most hilarious scene from the movie that you guys missed out was - The fight of King Aurthur and the Black Knight ... My god that was the funniest sequence of the movie ...

"What are you going to do ? Bleed on me ?"

5. Airplane! - See it yourself, words are too orderly to describe this one. The Funniest Ever

Wekend movie
by Damyanti on Sep 02, 2005 11:19 PM

I would recommend Crash....It is a movie that cannot be put into any genre, where script reigns supreme. It is that rare gem that shares a moral without being didactic. In the movie, no set of characters know the other, yet their effect on each other's lives is nothing short of profound, and the script pulls off this intricate manouver without missing a beat.

The director does not shirk from the truth, not once, and the harshnes of LA life, with its unsubtle nuances of racism, takes on a new beauty.
A must watch: a movie with famous actors, none of whom live to their stereotypical images...it entertains with its comedy, yet moves you to tears with its grasp of tragic irony.
