I think he was good in MHN. i did dislike some of the lines he said, but that was writing, not him. he played the part well, really getting into the role. he made Raghavan very convincing.
our media has been fair for only a few men in the industry. it has selected some nice guys for their articles whom they will praise ever even if they dont act by efficioency. actors like suniel shetty are never given credit for success in a multi-starrer movie.if a film does well , it is a joint effort.in the same way, if a film fails , every one is responsible for that.why only one to be claimed ?if u see the deepness in acting of suniel, u can realise the type of actor he is. you go the theaters just with the mind that suniel must be bad. what is this?? and what can one do if the role given is so bad ?in main hoon naa there was nothing, no any scope for suniel.so media should cooperate with actors and do justice to everyone in the industry.
films are something that is made for entertainment. it is good to critizise but that should not be hurting. whoever does the film they do it with the feeling that they are putting their maximum for it and at the end of the day what they need is little appreciation which makes their efforts worth. if there is someting that we feel is to be corrected in that person it is always good to tell the person in a non- offending manner. i do feel sorry after reading the column as inappropriate critism will only put a black mark on the person's carrer. giving your opinion is different ad critizing is different so give opinion but dont critize as bible says "throw the stone if u have done no wrong". none of us are perfectso we should try to respect other person's feelings and we should try to encourage others.
STOP 'Producer ne kitna paisa lagaya...'. No one asked the producer to put his money in any film. And reviews have no impact on box office success. Let me say that I saw this movie without reading any review and it is a cheap, hotch potch movie where the intention is just to make money. Nothing wrong with that! But then again, if you make such a movie and expect critics to shower everyone with praise, well, you're being stupid. That's exactly what Sunil Shetty is being here. What aspect of Main Hoon Na is good? Shah Rukh Khan, even though he hasn't hammed (which is a pleasant surprise), was pretty average. The less spoken about the younger actors, the better. Sunil Shetty was mediocre, but it was really the script that did him in. There was nothing that Sunil could do about such a badly written role. And the way the movie deals with extremism is a joke. In spite of all this, the film has been a hit. So be it. Why don't many of our people understand that commercial and critical success are independent of each other? Critics do not have any obligation to praise your favourite stars (complimentary passes or not).
I saw MHN and really liked the movie. Everything was cool & fun & entertaining. Except for the Raghavan part.. it was so miserably portrayed, there was so much hamming & overacting & was totally disjoint from the rest of the movie, just crap!
critics especially the guys sitting down there in rediff seems to be having some personal grudge with some film makers and actors.
what ever it may be. remember it hurts someone who does his job sincerely. well, if you don't really want to appreciate people, just stop blaming.
What i understand is, that these guys are seeing a lot of western flicks now a days and may be are so much obsessed to those "Real life" kind of actions and way of acting. try to understand that indian films are made to entertain people.
once i read one review about yuva here. instead of reviewing it, the critic was trying hard to make it a big flop.
hey guys try to employ some people who knows atleast a bit about films. that may help us to read some reviews with sense.
