No way ash can be compared 2 Meena kumari in terms of Acting.She made Devdas a boring movie with her overacting it was Madhuri who made the Devdas(otherwise a dull bore movie) worth watching. Pls Madhuri and Meena kumari ya one can think of to compare but Ash NO...gve us a break

Ash is a very beautiful actress but meena kumari was not only beautiful but also a very talented actress. She was an artist, who could portray the role sincerely. Choti malkin was non-glamorous, frustrated lady. will our glamorous ash portray that role. see in hum dil and devdad, she had nothing to do but look good, keep quiet and see what happen. there was much of emotions needed in these movies but not to that extent that choti malkin will need. so i doubt ash's capability to do this. if it had been madhuri dixit or even rani mukeerjee, or kajol, i would have said YES although they are also no where close to Meena Kumari , but yes, these people can act.
Meena Kumari was a talented actress .And Ash is just a ex beauty queen trying to act.She is anything but a good actress.Winning film fare awards doesn't make anyone a good actress as in INdia filmfare awards are based if the movie was a hit or not, not on acting. How can even anyone think of comparing a flop actress to a star,it is a digrace to Meena Kumari to be compared to Ash,Ash is nowhere near her to acting!!!
Sorry to say.....but its a fact Ash however beautiful she must be, but nowhere on this earth she can be compared with great MEENAJI......she has a different status in Film industry
The best option for an actress or an actor to eshtablish his acting talents is to act with great scripts and screenplays. But as of today, scriptwriters seem to have dried up and paanwalas and gutka walas are turning producers in Bollywood. So the next best option is to act in remakes of great movies. As a result, Ashwairya will only be remembered as a remade Meena Kumari or a photocopy Suchitra Sen. She will never be recalled as a great actress. Madhuri on the other hand, has never acted in great movies except a few. But she will always be remembered as an original.

Not even when she turns 80 Can she become an actress... Aishwarya & Acting No way ... Just Goody goody looks,wear rich designer dresses & Dance like rubber doll doesn't make one an actress !!!
