hey hey....how can anyone make a comparision between meena n ash...meena kumari was a beauty with a touch of awsome acting talent...i'm not sayin that ash has no talent but i strongly feel that ash scores her marks always from her extremely photogenic screen presence and her charming dance...but when it come 2 acting meena kumari is matchless.... i think ash and meena kumari shol dnot be compared. i ahvenot seen many movies of meena kumari ... but i can say that both of them are good individually .. rest peiople saying that ash is beautiful and that is the reason she is doing well in the industry then i willlike to give them hundreds of examles who in th present industry are beautiful but have not been able to establish themselves... its not the matter of can ASH will be able to perform at the same level what meena kumari was able to do... my personal view is that ash is beautiful but at the asme time is she is very talented actress also ... so i think she will able to do this role in her own style which will be different from what meena kumari did and will be able to do justice with the role.... thats how a good actor or actress should perform... moulding the same life to different different angles... open for critisim
I don't know who is meena kumari, but i know that ash is not a good actress by any means. Her first movie with maniratnam tried to teach her what acting was acting was about. but she also fell for the stupid ways of bollywood.
why is suddenly Bengal the target of hindi moviewallahs?? and aish has no bengali touch to her face or figure. may be she has made devdas international......but i guess people abroad knew Sarat Chandra Chatterji before they knew her. what hype media can give!!!! now its her turn to make bimal roy n mina kumari famous?? she is unable to portray characters with intricacies and depth. basically old movies were golden and remaking them is as if selling the old gold for something junk........better try to invent new stories and ideas like Lagaan!!!
