the tamil film industry is getting worse day by day........by taking movies with small aged actor and actress.the directors r trying to take films only in commercial point of view and spoiling the life of the teen agers.i dont understand why people r encouraging this type of movies.everything has a limit ....if it exceeds its good for nothing.

PLEASE DONT SPOIL THE YOUNGER GENERATION

Ramya Krishna is not Ramya Krishnan. Being a Malayali even I know that she is basically a Telugu and not Tamilian. Telugus dont have this suffix "an" to their names.

Pl. give correct info.

Azhiyaadha kolangal was a very good film. So, we can expect something good from Balu mahendra this time also. Even though it has something about sex, it is presented in a good way. Compare it to the films of these times, where there is vulgarity, Balu mahendra's films are extremely good. Hope we can get to see one from him this time too.

I think these kind of movies will get a good audience of the younger gen , but i dont hope any elderly person would prefer to see these kind of movies , as they dont depict these things happened in their times , this is a new revolutionary charector which has come to in this generation ,, which i think the young teenage would love it , but looking at choti si love story , it is not something new the producer has thought about ,, So looking foward for the release of this film and how the box office report comes ...

sex and tennage fantasies

I think the good thing about indian films that makes them so unique when put along side other types of films is that they are suitable for the whole family to view and enjoy the addition of sexual conotations would defineatley exclude many family members from enjoying what a potentially good film may be.
The message sent through a film is open to interretaions we wouldn't want to be teaching the wrong things to young adults through their teenage years which can be quiet confusing. What movie directors should consider apart from the big sumss of revenue earned from promoting using sex is to instead consider the likley impact upon wider society.

regarding tamil movie trends.
by Dr charles on Aug 18, 2003 09:06 PM  | Hide replies

recent tamil movie trends are concentrating more on glamour &sex thereby creating an uneasy calm between people of opposite sex if they happen to see a movie together. This only leads to disastrous consequences of both the people which may even spoil their entire future. It is not that teens do not like those type of pictures but the society as such are an indirect cause to allow those type of pictures which exploits teens weaknesses. So the recent trend of movies particularly those pictures involving Dhanush only spoil the teens. It is just the case of 'one man meat is another man's POISON.So, one of the solution to this problem will be to PUNISH BOTH DIRECTORS AND ACTORS/ACTRESSES OF THIS TYPE OF FILMS BECAUSE THEY ARE PARASITES OF THE SOCIETY WHO HAVE TO BE ERADICATED FOR THE UPLIFTMENT OF THE SOCIETY.

One should understand that these movies are from a commercial aspect and its left to the choice of the viewer to see it or not. Moreover the industry should not be mapped with culture and its social implications because I think television is much bigger an evil than cinemas. The maximum movie goers are the teens (mostly college going) and the working class. It should be noted that what these people want is given by the industry. Quoting Rajinikanth "Take the good things out of films and leave the bad".
