Look at Singur. Many years back they thrown out TATA venture, for the reason farmers' land is acquired, but that farmers land lying barren without even grass growing on it.

The most unfriendly state for doing business is West Bengal and Kerala, where communism still exists. The Trade Unions will not allow any industry to come up. Even before an Industry starts they will list out the worker demands. With the new system of hire and fire comes into effect, they will start working. Otherwise the youngesters of that state has only one job, that gossip and criticism sitting on the culverts at the nooks and corners of the road, teasing the commuters, girls etc., It is only because of the surge of BJP the CPM and TMC are learning.
question : if so , why not a single heavy industry project has been set up in WB so far ? 2 . Why a proposed steel project in Jhargram area has been withdrawn ? 3 . why east-west metro is taking more time to complete their project in even kolkata district ? 4 . Actually , Mrs.Mamata has kept the window open , but the main door i.e. the Land procurement , is closed . Understand .

all your questions indicate lack of knowledge about present west bengal. Otherwise why panel of world bank will place bengal on top of the list of the country in comparison of easing business opportunity in the state? If the list would have been prepared by modi govt, this is certain bengal would find the place at the bottom.

enough of modi abuses. Read the first para carefully. It is prepared by central govt. The model is similar to one conducted by World Bank, that's all. It is "Modi govt's" annual Ease of Doing Business ranking for states.

It seems you are living in a different state and not West Bengal. Remember the call Sheik Hasina had to make so that one of her old classmates could renovate his own premises in Salt Lake. Syndicates and goons cause problems everywhere. Which part of Bengal do you live in?

do you know how many years it took to close thousands of heavy, medium and small industries in bengal? Do you know that Howrah city was called SHEFFILD OF INDIA? People across our country used to come to bengal to persue a job.

Subrata Banerjee, don't gossip on past. AFter some time, perhaps you will tell entire east bengal was the fiefdom of your grandfather. This is the biggest problem of the refugee community. BTW what is your relationship with Khyamta Banarsee?

come to bengal and see the huge improvement in infrastructure. Possibly no one would believe that bengal was a state with poorest poor roads, heaped garbage here and there alongside the road making the life unbearable. Do you know that there is no BANDH OR HARTAL in last 7 years? Do you know that bengal is again going to be the silicon valley of India? The days are not far ahead. Finally business houses have started to believe that bengal is now a good and peaceful state where business can be done without problem.

Sector 5 in Kolkata has stagnated. Pune has come from behind and overtaken our Kolkata. Rajarhat has failed to take off. Dont talk in air.
