ABOLISH RESERVATION
by munendra singh on Feb 07, 2010 11:26 PM  Permalink

Dear FM
If govt. could bear the load of the cost of education for the SC/ST/OBC in the public schools till class 12th, then there is no need for any kind of reservation. Bring them to common competitive platform by education and then let them compete. This will bring a more deserving person to employment and will lower the corruption which will undoubtedly help the economic growth over 9% per annum

Take care of common man's needs first
by Sudarshan Shreenivas on Feb 07, 2010 10:22 PM  Permalink

FMCG producers in India have formed an oligopoly to keep prices high. Imports of FMCG products should be encouraged from Thailand and Indonesia where they are available (comparable or same brands) at half the cost. Food should also be imported in bulk. THe FM should promote a new class of products for the common man in most industries like textiles, FMCG products, medicines and food, which are exempt from excise duty and are priced low. First you need to take care of common man's basic needs before achieving any higher objectives.

by becker on Feb 07, 2010 09:29 PM  Permalink

All salary earners are already ready to kick congress out of their states. Congress will learn their lessons hard for failing to control inflation and failing to improve government machinery.

by Harish Patwardhan on Feb 07, 2010 06:36 PM  Permalink

Dear FM,
It is not possible to a family not to visit physician throughout the finacial year. A family of 3-4 members will spend not less than 20K for buying anacin to costly medicines for BP and suger. Then why an employee shall produce bill for the medical reimbursement received as the part of salary? It prompts for corruption . Can you stop this nonsense?

Reforms needed than stimulus
by abcd efg on Feb 07, 2010 04:57 PM  Permalink

1.FM should compel companies to change their work procedure so it accommodates sincere workers and good business practices.
2.Reform and crack down on government sector as executive has become totally useless and corrupt and eat up all the resources. Schemes like NREGA is causing price rise as corruption and free money is spoiling people.
3.Include provision of other government departments report card in health, education, safety, environment, etc. besides finance bill.
4.Make more provision for environment protection as it is of biggest concern.
