Redefine Senior Citizen
by Pramod Goel on Feb 09, 2010 01:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sir,
Presently persons above 65 years are treated as Sr.Citizens. When retirement age in Govt. is 60 years and 58 years in PSUs the Definition needs to change. After retirement the means of earnings diminish/cease and the needs of old people rise. They need physical help which only becomes available on payment to domestic helps. I hope FM would kindly do something about it

taxial discrimination
by Devdutt Nayak on Feb 09, 2010 01:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

IT people threaten small tax payers with legal action and locking accounts, and the big fish send crores to MNC bank accounts abroad.

And we talk of growth rate and investment in India, clean image, Financial reforms etc etc

What a load of lies.

If Govt recovers tax from big crooks it wont need to play with tax slabs at all.

Indirect taxation will not be needed

Food and FMCG items will be dramatically cheap

This is the big lie of the system.

Prices are high because of Indirect Taxes because the Govt does not recover taxes in 100s of crores and instead harasses middle class fro a few thousands and lakhs.

what an elaborate scam and nobody even mentions the link between corporate/HNI tax evasion and rising food prices.

Govt is to blame chiefly for letting the big thugs escape.

The sad part is the media says nothing because it is owned by the thugs.

And the rich dont even donate to NGOs one-tenth of what they owe as tax.

And then the Govt throws the rule book at small fish like me and you.

the correct term in criminal psychology, if i am not wrong, is "enabler crime"

and the entire system is controlled by the "enabler class" and we small fry get stuck by way of prices, TDS, toll, etc etc.

System fundamentally broken

In your hip-hop American yuppy language, you might call this

EPIC FAIL

income tax
by venkates kumar on Feb 09, 2010 01:12 PM  Permalink

Dear FM
IT WOULD BE BETTER IF THE INCOME TAX LIMIT IS RAISED TO 3 LAKHS FRO TAXATION. THEN THE AMOUNT SPEND ON EDUCATION KIDS SHOULD BE RAISED TO THE LEVEL HOW MUCH THE PARENTS ARE PAYING IN THE RESPECTIVE SCHOOLS. THE TOTAL PAID AMOUNT SHOUND BE DEDCUTED FROM THE SALARY I THINK NOW IS RS. 12000 PER KID WHICH IT IS MUCH MORE BELOW THAN THE NORMAL FEES CHARGES BY ANY SCHOOL . THE FM SHOULD TAKE THIS EDUCATION FACTOPR IN TO MAIN CONSIDERATION
