Income tax

To avail of maximum exemption to senior citizens above 65 years of age should be abolished and all senior retired citizens above 60 years of age should be given the same privilege and this time exemption limit for senior citizens should be raised to 3.50lacs as prices of essential commodities and veg and non veg items has gone manifold and for this senior citizens are really under tremendious pressure as they have very limited income either from interest or pension which is almost fixed. Honbl'e finance minister is requested to consider the matter with his sincere approach. thank you.

Respected Sir,
I am CVR Murthy from Chennai. I am presently working in an PSU. Sir, I want to make an fervent appeal/ prayer that that the present Income tax limit be raised to atleast Rs.2,50,000/- keeping in view of the extreme hardships being faced by salaried middle class peoplein the country particularly due to very high prices of essential commodities. To tell the truth the price rise of essential commodities has hit the middle class/urbanites very hard. Hence I request you to raise the limit to rupees two lakhs fifty thousand atleast which would to some extent mitigate the sufferings of the vast majority of the middle class/poor people. It is seen that there was no scope for savings hence i request that there may not be changes in it. I earnestly appeal to you Respected Sir, to increase the IT limit to atleast Rs.2,50,000/- I am sure you would take into account the suffering of the salaried poor class as you being a very seasoned/ experienced/ very much aware of the conditions in the country. Another request is that the present limit for medical expenses be raised to Rs.30,000/- as the medical expenses of dependents i.e. senior citizens and small children have shot up. medical expenditure may be accorded tax benefits. I appeal to you Sir, to bestow your personal attention in raising IT limit to Rs.2,50,000/- as i am single earner of a large family and we will be ever grateful to you, Sir, Thanking you, Sir

The tax exemption limit should be increased to Rs. 3 lakhs p.a. considering the inflationery trend prevailing now. Senior citizens must be offered some special incentives - medicare policies at affordable prices.
