It has been more than a month I applied for redemption and reliance mutual fund has not credited the amount.
All profits they show are perhaps not true.

Existing Limit Must be Increase
by Adarsh Ijeri on Feb 13, 2010 11:41 AM  Permalink

The existing exemption limit must be increased to 4.0 lakh both for men and women. I do not understand why till now women were given more exemption limit, when the responsibility of family is more on men.

Rebates Consideration
by glen dsa on Feb 13, 2010 11:14 AM  Permalink

Dear FM,

Considering the ever rising inflation rates , and shooting up prices of essential commodities , have a suggestion to implement rebate based on inflation rate for the year eg.
Why not have a special rebate clause garnting exemption under INFLATION ALLOWANCE.

income tax
by sanjeev agarwal on Feb 13, 2010 07:16 AM  Permalink

income tax should be based on family income and not individual income. In a family if a man is working then he has to support his wife and kids but he still pays higher income tax as compared to a woman who is the 2nd or additional source of income for a family

income tax exemption limits
by milan antony on Feb 13, 2010 05:58 AM  Permalink

Limits for income tax should be raised for slaried class. The gov employees are the worst sufferers as their tax is deducted at source and nothing much can be done about it. If some rebate is to be claimed later he has to run to the income tax dept or to a ca.
Govt servants in A 1 cities are having a ball. Most of them have their own houses, they live in them and claim 30% HRA every month from the goverment which further goes as an EMI to the bank for their own House! A neat way of making the goverment pay for their residence ?
