Govt. is killing the private salaried people. We have no job security but paying tax. This yr paid one month salary as tax. If we lose job will it be returned.
There is a very low limit for saving. the 80cc must be raised to 5lakh minimum.

Considering that most of the Income Tax payers are from the metropolise the ideal Tax slabs would be:
Upto 5 lacs Nil
% lacs to 15 Lacs 10%
15 to 30 Lacs 20%
30 Lacs and above 30%
The budget should encourage spending by individuals and collect indirect taxes. This will give a boost to economy.

Middle class people end up paying so much tax that they have no savings. Tax should be increased for business men who show only loss and pay no tax. How are they crorepatis if they incur only loss? Also Politicians should be heavily taxed. All Swiss account money should be seized and used for India's growth and uplifment.
Only Salaries above 10L should be taxed.

TAXATION
by Amal Prasad on Feb 16, 2010 09:24 AM  Permalink

1) Eliminate TDS on the salaried classes
2) Increase indirect taxes like sales tax (actually purchase tax on all luxary items like vehicles, microwaves oven, high-end mobile phone, jewelry, and the like). In this manner, those who do NOT pay income tax would be forced to shell out taxes.
3) Tax agricultural income after allowing suitable deductions on inputs
4) Eliminate all the cess and surcharges

First of all Income tax should be eliminated for the persons having gross income upto 10L per annum.
Home loans exemptions should be increased for the income upto 10L.
Elimination of tax is the only way to get the increament in income specially for the salaried, otherwise salaries are so poor that survival becomes difficult.
