Corruption
by arungopal agarwal on Feb 19, 2010 11:22 AM  Permalink

Very easy to handle, private sector people(big houses) already have system:
1. Bring accountability of peoples money with every individual,
2. Instead of suspending, remove the corrupt, let him prove, he is not guilty.
3. Retire all work force like army where even a Lt. Col. retires at 50.
4. Remain in budgetary limit, if no amount available, do not support, let Govt. servants must learn to live within the sanctioned amount.
5.All cases of corruption must be settled within 3 to 6 months time.
6. No Govt. deptts. be allowed to move for appeal, appeal means even govt. does not have faith in its own judiciary, and in case of loosing the case, officers/staff concerned is to be punished.

Restricting Corruption
by Vivek Koranne on Feb 19, 2010 11:15 AM  Permalink

erDear Sir,

Eradicating corruption is difficult but it can be plugged. A few years back, we had a scheme called the VDIS launced by Mr PC to bring black money into the market. it was fairly successful.

Where does corruption reside, in places of power, it means where a signature, approval or where a trustee of funds in involved.

Identify such positions across all government agencies. Police,Municipal,Govt institutions & all places where the state or central govt bureaucrats/politicians are involved.

All these positions should come under a special category say X category.

Give all these X - Category guys all aminities like life long pension, a Government house, lifetime medicals etc .

Inturn enforce strict rules like One bank account for self & One for each family member. Declare all assets. Any other bank account in any other name to be seized.

Any discrepance leads to jail

A central nodal agency headed by an honest man like say Mr Kalam or Mr Khairnar with sweeping powers. He reports to nobody but the President of India or the Supreme Court like the Election commissioner. He should be selected by a three member panel from the Business community who know what HONESTY means.

Start with the Central Government, set an example. Take one state at a time for e.g Gujarat where the Chief Minister is considered to be an HONEST GUY.

This can be a long process but we may actually earn or rather save about 50 to 70000 crores annually.

Give Salaried employee some extra benefits
by archana Agarwal on Feb 19, 2010 11:03 AM  Permalink

Dear Mr Finance Minister ,
Please give salaried class some benefits :-
1.Better railways , we won't mind increasing the fares of 3rd Class AC by 50/100 rs .
2.Lower House registration charges for salaried class as compared to business class.
3.Similar Petrol and Diesel charges across India.
4.Similar vehicle Life Time Tax across India , currently it is very high in southern states as compared to North india.
5.Stringent check on Money spend by State Governments.

I am a Tax Payer and it is very painful to see many people simply escpaing without paying even a penny to Government. I would request you to give more perks to salaried people in terms of discounts as compared to Business community.

Corruption starts from top
by sanjeev rohilla on Feb 19, 2010 10:46 AM  Permalink

If top officials and politicians are free from corruption then the nation is automatically free from corruption.Dear FM make your implimentation machinery strong and impartial to hold people accountable for what ever they do and see the difference. But for this you need to have a right will and intention which I don't think is possible because if you do that you loose 99% of your leaders & beaurocrats who are corrupt from their toe to head. So, first have a will and then there are 100 ways to get rid of corruption and other manaces which are eroding the productivity of our economy.

Advising a rotten system is a foolish exercise
by M on Feb 19, 2010 10:38 AM  Permalink

Asking a rotten system for self improvement is only a futile and wasted effort.

Politicians have no caliber or qualification to improve.
