Exemtion under Sec 80C to be raised to Rs.2Lakhs
by Partha Chatterjee on Feb 02, 2010 01:05 PM  Permalink

Please raise exemption limit to Rs. 2Lakhs under Sec 80C so that it boosts savings for middle income group and we can save for a secure future. It has been Rs. 1Lakh for a lot many years now. Please also increase exemtion limit for Childrens education tution fee to atleast Rs.2000 per month. It is only Rs.100 per month. This is impracticable since no school charges Rs.100 as tution fee in this age. Also requesting for slab of 30% tax to be from Rs.10Lakhs instaed of Rs. 5Lakhs.

incometaxrebates etc

It is suggested to include all in the incometax but tghe rates should be rational and not at the present rates of taxation. This will develop a sense of contribution to each earning citizen of India. The rates should be 5% upto 3lacks, 10% upto 5lacko,15% upto 10lacs, 20% upto 15lacks, 25% upto 20lacs and 30% above 20lacs.The GOI should strictly take taxes from the prtty traders and shopkeepers who ae the main source for black money in the country. To avoid the corruption & black money in the society,if any was is found involved-heshould be punished severly and his all wealth should be consificated by the Central govt to detor others from such antinational activities. The terorists and corupt should be dealt at the same level-both are carrying out antinational activity. .

Tax business people
by Biren Shah on Feb 02, 2010 01:00 PM  Permalink

We all are talking about reducing tax from common man - agreed but thats the chunk FinMin is looking always as thats GUARANTEED. Most business people earn in crores and never pay a single rupee of tax. They get all kind of deductions - then why not for common man? or create system to tab on business people and dont allow them to claim deductions or earn crores without paying any tax
