Tax

The Finance Minister should increase that tax rebate limit from 1 Lakh and the 10% slab should be introduced till 10 lakhs. The Finance Minister should also try to make policy in which the Govt may have clear approach of the tax paid by the people of India. The Government servants are the most affected as there tax is all deducted at source but what about the doctors engineers etc. The doctors earns from so many sources then also they dont show their source of income more than 5 Lakh in most cases. Government should focus more on private sector then the public sector for collecting taxes. Public Sector our binded by the Govt so they pay there taxes properly.

I therefore request out Honorable Finance Minister to lower the tax on government servants and instead levy professional taxex on doctors engineers etc.

With rising prices and cost of living it is unthinkable that one can survive in Rs 15,000 pm. So please raise the NIL slab to Rs 3 L as precursor to the introduction of the New DTC from FY 10-11.

Also please increase the non taxable conveyance allowance from Rs 800 (fixed some three decades ago) to Rs 6000 for Metros and Rs 4800 to non metros and Rs 3000 to Class C and below cities / towns.

Also please increase the 80 C deductions to Rs 3 L again as a precursor the new DTC

Thanks

Income Tax for working women
by Rashmi Khanna on Feb 04, 2010 01:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hon'ble FM,
It is heartening to observe Govt. is doing a lot in women issues but I find that concessions given in name of income tax are negligible. Despite developments, attitude to women in middle classes remains the same. A women who works is responsible for family rearing, health, household chores and financial support. It is her wisdom that carries family upward. In view of this background, is tax-free income is raised from Rs.1.90 lac to at least 2.50 lac it will be a boon to women.

Secondly, maximum saving in insurance etc may be raised from Rs.1.00 lac to at least Rs.1.50 lac to enable the women of our motherland to secure her future too.

HOW many people support me ?
by telugoo on Feb 04, 2010 01:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

ECONOMIC DOWNTURN HAVE KILLED THOUSANDS OF JOB, PEOPLE AND LIFE. AT ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT IN JOB FOR SOME REASON SHOULD BE TOTALLY EXEPMTED FROM TAXES .
1. How far you can wave Off and totally remove All taxes for companies & jobless people ?

2 The more the companies are tax burdened, more they pressurize employees who become the last chain in suffering. So can you heavily discount if not totally everyone ?

3. If you can tell NOT possible then I have 2 questions:

1> has govt ensured every jobless has been given some earning compensation for jobloss like their promise in website , policy (like US/UK etc ) ?

atleast this compensation is basic right of any employee who had been paying taxes year after year .

2> Its better to save some life by providing discount than to extract tax so that corrupt people can enjoy these funds , What you say FM ?

HOW many people support me ?

Last 2 years killed so many throughout worldover
