[1] First make opportunistic promises in the budget, which will benefit some large electoral base.
[2] Wait for public reaction.
[3] The points which are not thrashed by media/opposition will now be taken up by Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the Great.
[4] Villian bana to koi aur, Hero bana ro Rahul Gandhi. Desh gaya bhaad mein.

Down with the Dynasty
Fight for Independence

Can't expect anything sensible from a mentally retarded drugg addict.

He gets free drugs from his girlfriend's daddy for funds - who is a drug lord in Columbia.

Maybe he will ask his girlfriend's daddy for funds.

We will really have to fight for independence from the anti-Indian, anti-Hindu rulers some day. First we had British rule, now there will be Italian.

Congress is the voice of anti-Indian and anti-Hindu elements of the country.

Rahul must marry ...
by Dheeraj Akula on Mar 14, 2008 01:34 PM

Rahul must marry a daughter of one of the poor farmers who committed suicide.

P. Chidambaram must get his sons, daughters and grandchildren married to sons and daughters of poor farmers who committed suicide.

What prompted farmers to go in for loans and why the government in the interest of farmers did not allow public sector and cooperative banks to lend farm loan instead of forcing them to approach private money lenders. Nodoubt farmers are the living gods on earth and they should definitely be taken care of by every individual and should not be ignored.

On the other hand does the government waiver really reaches the small farmers or onceagain it is going to benefit big farmers. Further, the government should take the responsibility to transfer the loans taken by farmers from private money lenders to the respective public sector/cooperative banks and the amount to be waived off against the current waiver scheme. By this way, small and medium farmers will definitely benefit and then we can say the government has really taken of farmers interest after nearly sixty years. Else it is yet again a benefit only for selected few.

They must be taken care, but I don't think populist meausres like loan waivers are the right way to take care of them.

Will they waive the loans every year?

Wherever they won the elections recently, let them promise that tehy will waive all loans for all 5 years.

you should be aware of NPA of many leading national banks which accrued due to lending of loans to many big industrialist and politicians (even our current President involved as per media reports) which was not paid back and the government had magnanimously waived off. When the government can allocate few hundred crores of tax payers money only for development and upliftment of minorities, there is nothing wrong in waiving the loans of small farmers who really toil day and night for our urbanites to enjoy briyanis. Dont you not help your friends and relations when they are in debt or trouble and do you expect returns from them?

What their coalation partners have done in Nandigram???
by PrinceAsh on Mar 14, 2008 01:31 PM

We are used to such bogus thoughts and ideas maling voice loud to help poor farmers - but these schemes are just making farmers think loan as their own money - get the loan and never repay. Another question is whether these schemes are foolproof to reach those farmers which this is intended to?? how do they check big rats (other farmers) who had obtained the loan to get it waived --- In this way we can never be able to stand on our own and such vote-based politics make us depend on US and their recession drives us also down. English colony had ruled Indians ...now the US one in an indirect way ...
