It is only sensible people who are worth impressing and sensible people look for qualities of head and heart. They are not impressed by superficial looks. Those who are impressed by looks alone are not worth impressing and are worthy of contempt. English essayist has rightly said "Those who make their dress a principal part of themselves are, in general, no more valid than their dress." Given the limited resources in terms of time, attention and energy we have at our disposal, it is wiser to devote these resources to cultivating virtues of head and heart. The more of these resources we devote to superficial pursuits like looking good, the less we have for more meaningful pursuits. Rediff only panders to the shallow minded scum of the society.
Dress code matters depending on your geographical location and occasion. Skills, confidence, expertise and deliverables matter. AS the saying goes ....When you are in Rome, do the way Romans do....

Folks should be sensible enough what they are wearing under the considering social background where they are living, folks around you and culture.

dress in what ever you are comfortable with .., doesn't matter unless ur profession demands. Banks, Finance institutions, services it is must as it shows respect and well preparedness.. complete research, technology related and product based companies it doesn't matter... Marketing people has no choice.. they must look dignified and smart ..,
