I was surprised to see lots of vacant berths in Premium trains like Rajdhani Exp etc. during this festive season. With better highway infrastructure and growth in aviation sector, a large proportion of travellers are no more dependent on railways for their travel needs. Railways now need to improve from monopolistic practices and catch up with the competition. Punctuality, Cleanliness and Catering needs to improve a lot.
I just gone through the points regarding the Pantry car of Indian Railways.
Its horrible and so poor that we are shame ourselves to serve this way in the Biggest business industry like Railway.
Quality of Rajdhani was so poor that last time I visited NDLS on 26.11.2015 along with my co-staff got badly food poisioned and one of us got hospitalised. It was Puri-NDLS Rajdhani.
They dont forget to take the tips but the quality was so poor that its is better to pack your food from your home.
