You are right, they are looking down on their family from above. Honestly these love stories have become far a few especially in terms of longevity. Respect to your parents and a life worth emulating !!

Great story of love. But honestly I don't think there is a heaven and dead people watching from heaven is absurd.
I must admire you for presenting the story of your parents. And it is not very common to find parents who led a very romantic life. In our country most of the couples had arranged marriage and then either went through compromises to let the marriage survive or they went separate ways. It is absolutely terrific to witness someone who is completely in love even after many years.
