at least 75% states do not have electricity for 12-15 hrs a day in june and july. then what do u do with your "dabba" known as "AC" when it works.? may be you will advice to buy a 5 kw diesel generator so that your AC can run during power cut ! in that case kindly work out your cost of fuel. nothing to replace a good, comfortable holidays in hills, during summer.
The writer is with very very limited knowledge, hasn't travelled much, does not have too many friends n doesn't wread or watch TV about such places...
So, his choices are limited to Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal n North East...

This article is for people who live near to these places. There are many such people and they read this too.
Kaziranga and Corbett should be excluded since it will be terribly hot during May - June. And people from South are unnecessary getting angry...the topic is Must Visit in Summer and hence many parts of South India is excluded...

if you want to see animals than summer is the best time as most of animals come towards ponds during summer.
Since the author has covered only North and North-East the title should have been apt. South India does have many places to cool ourselves. They should have been included.
You have forgotten Coorg in Karnataka and OOTY in Tamil Nadu - these where popular even during the British time. Do go and visit and take some of your own pictures - Regards Danny

Goa & Gujarat is too hot during summer. In MP/Maharashtra there are very less hill stations and in comparision to Uttarakhand / HP / North East height of hills are too low.
