why ... see chnennai .. typical example...no city in south is even 1/10 th dirty of chennai...evrywhere stinking...
This article is the Author's point of view. In Goa itself there r much better falls than Dudhsagar....like Kushkem, Savari, Mainapi, Tambdi, Hivrem....and the trekking to these falls makes the experience all the more exciting!!!

But some of the waterfalls and the trails to them in Goa are heavily ravaged and rendered hideous by the wanton and illegal iron ore mining activities !!
Very soon, a much bigger portion of Goa's beautiful landscapes is going to meet the same fate with the people alternating between the big thief that is the Congress and the big thief that is the BJP !!
The slide misses the exclusive falls from North East. To name a few: Elephant Falls, Meghalaya Seven Sisters Falls, Meghalaya Jung Falls, Arunachal Pradesh
the falls are good but i believe most breathtaking is Chitrkot of Jagdalpur , Chattisgarh - it is called Niagra of India . Seven sister of Cherapunjee (in rainy season) is stunning.
Dear Rediff, Please upgrade the quality of reporting. Its the worst compilation that Rediff has come out with. Looks like its a copy paste from google pics. The compiler should have researched waterfalls in north India and especially NE India, which has innumerable waterfalls.
