I was a tiny tot in the early 70s ; the air was redolent with the glorious melodies of Aradhana and Kati Patang. I was too tiny to comprehend the madness called Rajesh Khanna. I remember my neighbour - a college teenager coming to borrow money from my mother to watch Kati Patang as her parents had forbidden her. My first Kaka movie was Roti followed by Anuraag. I vividly remember watching Hathi Mere Sathi on DD 6 PM Sunday show on my neighbours ECTV. Growing up i did manage to watch some of Kakas movies. Now in the digital era i have almost all of Kakas movies on DVDS and downloads. I must have watched Kati Patang and Safar several times and it is not ever enough. i watch Bawarchi to cheer up after getting depressed watching Anand . Dear Kaka thank you for bringing the magic of movies into our lives ; i do feel that you have departed much arlier than your time. Your will live in our hearts forever. Good bye for now.......
