My Samsung LCD TV panel went bad within 3 years. Samsung TV panels tend to go bad after 3 years and you will have to shell out more than half the TV cost for new panels. Warranty is no more than a year so the risk is very high. Better to go with Sony on this.

Sony and samsung and also videocon use the same panel. Sony and samsung have a joint factory in korea and videocon purchases panels from samsung.

what say is true, even my LCD is having same problem, color and picture disturbance, Samsung engineer 1st quoted as PCD problem, and replacement cost will be 6500 RS, after 4 days I got a phone call from same agency saying that only PCB can be replaced but you to replace PCB and Panel which will cost 24000 Rs, is SAMSUNG customer friendly company or this company wants to extract the money from Indian people? I have decided never purchase the Samsung,
