I am paying rent as 7500 per month and therefore I get tax exemption for (12*7500 - 10% Basic) = 75000 only. If I increase the rent to 9000, I will be fine. But, I have to create fake rental bills. Correct? Is there any other way, avoiding fake rental bills?

You could include maintainence charges, electricity / water charges etc. to increase your total rent paid.

Still that is going to be a fake only. Your landlord is not going to give a receipt for something that he has not got.

real estate is killing this country. Earlier, 10% of your salary would go to paying rent. Now, 50% or more goes there.
Out of 10 people 5 people are real estate brokers. The land lords and brokers literally suck the blood out of your family. They want to get rich and rich over night.
Because of these bastds.. a cup of coffee costs 10 rupees where you pay 6 rupees as rent of that place.

I agree with you in totality. This real estate has become a dirty business which sucks all your earnings. Brokers are the prime culprits
BEST WAY IS TO GET OUT OF PLACES LIKE MUMBAI AND DELHI. BECAUSE YOU END UP PAYING HALF YOUR SALARIES AS RENTS OR TRAVEL LIKE ANIMALS FOR HOURS TO REACH WORK PLACE. ITS NOT WORTH YOUR LIFE PEOPLE. THESE PLACES SUCK.

I think in the last slide the formula should read (Optimum Yearly Basic Salary/10) and not (10*Optimum Yearly Basic Salary/10)
