There goes another year where we would be failing to put up a decent looking person for the Miss Universe and Miss World. It is really surprising that despite so many beauties around, the judges keep picking up those who wouldn't stand a chance in the international event.
When would I see a dark skin Miss India? India is one big country talks about discrimination but itself big very big on it. Though there are some Miss Indias from South including the current one and not to forget Aishwary Rai, none of them have the Dravidian tone.

Almost every one of them has very distinctive dravidian features !
Look more carefully and see for yourself !
Fair skin is hardly a proper barometer of racial features. One need look no further than the movie 'heroes' and 'heroines' of India for that. Most of them have very fair skin but are so bulbuous and bristle with 'dravdianness' !

I agree. Most of the contestants are looking too fair for average Indian women. That's part of a larger Anti-Dravidian agenda to impose foreign blood on us poor and dark Indians.
