Mr. Dhiman, The day on which i had made a comment , rediff had published tax free limit for females as 225000, but these rediff guys are so unprofessional that instead on tendering an apology they have rectified the tax slabs section for female assessee and is making peoples look dumb who had commented on wrong info.

Agreed but the tax slabs for female is wrong. Actual nil limit is upto 190000/- & not 225000/- as mentioned here

Railway , bus transport say 60 yrs is senior citizen. Income Tax says 65 is senior. Income Tax dept sleeping.
Whether own (for post graduation) as well as 2 children (school fees) education fees upto Rs.1 lakh are allowed to deduct from own income for tax purpose?
i am not sure where this author got the information about the tax slabs
the correct slabs are as below

Yes this is the right slab.How shocking it is to say anything public without verifying its correctness.Please do not so in the future rediff
