''Why am I doing an MBA....?''...get it clear first..!
by Parag Vora on Oct 09, 2009 10:53 PM  | Hide replies

I believe...doing an MBA is good for better job prospects / role in an organisation...but never do an MBA just because others are also doing...Do it when you really know and can answer the question..."Why are you doing an MBA ?"..if you are not able to answer this question to yourself...doing an MBA would be useless

education/earnings
by Manmohan Seth on Oct 09, 2009 06:32 PM

education is not directly related to earnings. Education is a worthy asset which grows considerably as one grows to help one to differenciate between good and bad deeds.Destiny drives one to dizzy heights and drives down to dismal position as well.Destiny has a major role to play in one's life, be it acquiring education, be being placed with an organisation paying good salaries, be being a resident of a posh bungalow in a posh locality.Get right education for right behaviourial disposition to earn and share respect.

MBA a great sales job
by franklin wilson on Oct 09, 2009 05:27 PM  | Hide replies

The way MBA institutes have sprung up in india is a worrying trend.Small time coaching centres are turning into MBA institutes providing third rate training. What you get are salesmen with a so called MBA.

As it is, pass outs from B grade business schools get clerical and administrative jobs.

They dont make you sit in the board room deciding the future of the company if you are a passout from any xyz school. You need to have real acumen supported by an MBA from a reputed institute.

Master in Business Mangement..very good sounds.
But the MBA qualified is getting Rs. 6k...12k starts. Nowadays the daily wages worker is earning Rs. 300-450=9000k-12k.

One of our Chiwadawala is also MBA (Mera Bhel Achha)..earns Rs. 2000/- daily. And pays Rs. 50/- to Municipality. So his net Earning is 40000/- Monthley He owns Honda City Cra worth Rs. 9000 Lacs,Bunglow in posh location worth Rs. 15 lacs,Land worth Rs. 5 Crore.
What u can earn Doing MBA,Loans from the begining of Job,Daily one 180 Ml...,girl freinds...boyfreinds...no marriage in time,...no generation...?

I partially agree with you. MBA doesn't teach business to become Tata,Birla.you should have aspiration and guts and strong will.
Tata, brila I think didn't go to MBA schools but everyone can't be like them at same time.

Man, I guess you are uneducated. And I guess you are only capable of becoming a Chiwadawala.

The package of an MBA depends upon many things like the college he/she completes MBA, Work Exp. if any and how he/she performs academically.

CAT - MBA
by kareena malhotra on Oct 09, 2009 04:46 PM  | Hide replies

looking at lakhs or ppl applying for CAT is depressing.

MBA n all the gyaan bazi is ok, but its the 'packages' they are after.

a decade ago, MCA used to be the most sought after thing.

ppl shud just quit lying and say it tht they want abnoxious salaries..and quickly n hence they want to do mba n then find a coll tht has 'good placements'
