nothing wrong in wearing a head scarf, if it fulfils religous requirment so it be, its a personal choice, will the baseball cap be banned too. unecessarily the girl is being targetted.
if one talks about stopping religous symbols then the said college has to remove all the photos of deities adorning the walls, stop religious holidays, stop religous functions....
banning the scarf is a dangerous step taken by the educators which is against the rights gauranteed by constitution.

because it is oppressive to women and does not bode well in class participation by students who wear burqa. You are free to wear your burqa at your home and mosque. It is up to the college to decide what's best for their students.

burqa is oppressive, nuns cloak is religous, saree is conservative, jeans is suggestive, salwar kameez is decent, mini skirt is arousing, no to bikini, yes to mundu... the list is endless
when will we mature as a society and concentrate on real issues?

so a college bannned wearing of headscarf...its right in doing so..if its an autonomous body it has a right to impose its rules..i am sure similar rules will apply to hindu students as well...a similar case had happened when a muzlem employee workinh with the indian airforce had filed a case for having the right to grow a beard but was shot down by the supreme court...its a simple equation if there are rules follow it otherwise find a college where there are none...this will only set a precedent for others to make such audacious demands on presigious bodies like the army...its not a circus where u can wear anything u like...there are rules and standards to be followed and they will only inculcate the fact that everyone is equal no individual is privileged....if we give in now there will soon be ppl who will oppose school uniforms!

Wearing burkha is not the problem but producing a number of children who mostly become criminals .If burkha is banned they will sit at home as relgion is more important than knowledge
i hv seen burqa clad girls going around the bush n loitering with their bf on the sea shores. they show different things to the world, but r different things in their own personality.
how this burqa doesnt prvent them from doing those other things to them. burqa is just an excuse for many.
