Learn to say NO..thats how it goes....and NO can be said in various ways which don't ruin the relationships...if your past performance was good , no one will doubt your credibility...you are free to make your own career decission..

Its a difficult situation to accept offer B and say no to offer A. As per my opioion i will go for offer A as i have said yes to it. and if you r substentially worth of opffer B you will get same criterias at offer A.

Job Switch - Do I choose offer A or B
by RAVI SHANKAR on Mar 20, 2007 10:48 AM

Nice to see your article. Exactly this is what has happened to me. I had received an offer from a local company in Dec 06. I took the offer letter and submitted my resignation from my present company. The package is normal but reasonable.

In the meantime i received an exciting offer from company B which is an MNC. The package is unbelievable.

I went to company A, spoke to them and conveyed my decision of not joining them

And i joined Company B and i am right now with them.

It might look unprofessional. But if i had accepted company A, it would have takne 2or3 years to reach the current salary level of
company B.

Career decisions also has got an impact on your family life.

Company A can get similar candidates like me, but opportunities in a MNC may come but not so frequently.

Choose what is right for you!!!

In such a situation as one described above, it would be quite hypocritic to choose company B as you have already accepted the offer from company A. Nevetheless you need to look at the long run of your career. Company A may obiviously get another person but you may find to bit late to get a company B.
