Wonderful Write-up
by Dheeraj Mehrotra on Oct 09, 2006 02:47 PM

Dear Sir,

The write-up on Salary Rise is indeed a wonderful one. It practically counts at large. I agree with the consultant. What I would like to add to this is, Good companies always recognise the afforts of the emplyees and they motivate them with instant increments. It has to come from the side of the management in cash or kind as a return.

Making it public might mean a tendency for the same which would bring problems at a later stage. I presume, the work done should be proved for action and by action to fetch the increment as per the norms of the company.

Best wishes,

Dheeraj Mehrotra

Yeah This Post is Good, Good To Read! Only To Read! But in Practical, how many bosses will buy this approach! They usually have this standard resoponse "Company's policy!"

by G.K.Shrivastava on Oct 09, 2006 09:46 AM

Dear Sir,
I have gone through your subject & various answers are great in sales line.
What about for those who are in service industries.
There are some bosses are very rude mind only their work, less interaction with staff.
In that case how to approach ?
There are some bosses who only talk but not listen How to approach them on this topic.
Pls share your view on this.
Thanks,

Nice topic, discussed and advised well, mainly related to sales and marketing people, what about technical people in the IT training industry? What criteria will back them up to ask for a raise? Please suggest.

Articlel on salary raise
by subhash on Oct 08, 2006 02:01 PM

Not a very suitable one except probably for sales. Just some old cliche copied over.

what about the situations when others less qualified or capable are earning more than you.

what about external factors causing a salary hike like inflation, salaries in other companies for the same job etc.

Does not lool like a well thought of article. Poorly rated in my view.
