by Raj kumar Patel on Jun 07, 2006 02:53 PM

Hi, recently I have bought DELL Inspiron E1505. Just forget Pentium M processor, its loaded with Latest Intel Core Duo processor with 1.83 Ghz speed, 1 GB RAM, Intel PRO 3945 Wireless lan and Bluetooth port, 60 GB SATA HD with 7200 RPM, Dual Layer DVD bruner with DV_R burn capability. YOu play your games or Run an Oracle Database, need not to worry. Its Intel Core DUO processor consumes less battery and generates less heat. As there are 2 processor so you get more processing power. Thus, more backup power. And to carry the laptop , theres a DELL bagpack with it and all these in 946 USD. This is one of the best options with the new Intel processor, which lest you work seamlessely.

Its a terrific laptop!! The config includes : Intel Centrino 1.7 GHz, 512 MB DDR2RAM, 40 GB HDD, DVD Writer, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 5 in 1 Card Reader, 4 USB Ports, 1 PCMCIA Slot, S-Video Out, External Display Port, Licensed Win XP Home Edition. This all came to me at a price of Rs.48,300/- inclusive of all taxes, shipping etc at my doorstep, and this price is for a brand new laptop with 1 year Asia-Pacific Warranty from DELL. It weighs a little below 2.50 kgs. Battery life is also very good. Normal application works for around 6 hrs of battery life or I can watch 1.5 full length movies with battery charged 100%

The hottest laptop !!
by vaibhav on Jun 07, 2006 01:39 PM

I think i have got the hottest laptop..!! its dell inspiron 6400. Amazing performace..1680*1050 true life screen...what would one want at an affordable price of just above 50,000. I think the reason Dell is able to deliver such a gud laptop is:
1. It saves money by not including retailers in between, and sells online.
2. And thus is also able to provide quality.

The best decision i have made till date. Thanks DELL.

Compac Presario
by Deepanjana Sarkar on Jun 07, 2006 12:37 PM

I have got a Compac Presario for myself couple of weeks ago. This has 1.5 Ghz Processor, 512 MB RAM, and 40 GB harddisk, CD writer and DVD ROM as well as Wi Fi facility. I am pretty satisfied with the service and it is quite fast. I have got it for Rs 36,700/-, which i think is quite cheap and affordable. I very much recommend this one to others.

I would suggest DELL Inspiron Series
by mafid on Jun 07, 2006 12:21 AM  | Hide replies

Hi,
I recently purchased DELL inspiron 6400 with Centrino Duo processor (1.83 ghz)/512MB RAM/Dual layer DVD writer/15.1 True Screen.
Earlier I was afraid to order it online, but I must say it is the best! performance /price wise.
It cost me 65000 INR .
I used IBM and Compaq laptops earlier and DELL is best !! Go for it. Even they launched the XPS series recently. Its cool. Dell Inspiron is business model and so far I have no issues and it rocks!
It has the feature MediaDirect, which allows you to play DVD/Songs/mp3's from HDD or USB/CD Drive without booting to OS.

It has a battery signal meter which allows me to check how much battery is left without switching on the PC.

It has wifi/bluetooth module as well.
I have 9 cell battery which gives me backup of 4 hrs for normal operations.

by Saurabh Dixit on Jun 06, 2006 07:51 PM

Try out this machine. Really gud performance, AMD Turion64 based with 512MB DDR and 60GB's of HDD.
AMD might be a point of doubt in the mind of Indian customer but trust me the 64-bit processor hits the benchmark without any problems!!!
And comes with a Dual side DVD writer as well!!!
